Overview

The Tiger tribute model is constructed with a three-piece cocobolo top and back , each piece is selected for color and figure. The top is adorned with the signature mother of pearl tiger inlaid on an ebony oval that is accented with brass. The multi-piece neck is constructed using curly maple with a vermillion center stripe, with adjacent thin veneers of vermillion and maple.
The neck comes with a standard asymmetrical profile . Custom profiles are available on request. The Tiger model comes standard with a 16 inch radius fretboard, inlaid with the classic Tiger motif . The standard fret wire is .103″ x .045″ . Other fret wire can be requested; stainless steel does cost extra. There is a stunning mother of pearl, abalone, and brass art deco flower inlay on the back of the instrument inlaid in a quilted maple and cocobolo oval.
The Tiger comes standard with an onboard effects loop (OBEL), that allows the output signal from the pickups to be sent to an effects chain and return to the instrument before the volume pot. This was a personal invention of Jerry’s that allowed his signal level to remain consistent, even at different volumes . This allowed more consistent control over certain FX, like the Mutron III. I also install a unity gain buffer circuit made by wald-electronics.com. The Tiger comes standard with a DiMarzio DP 101 single-coil pick-up in the neck and two DiMarzio Dual sound humbuckers for the middle and bridge.
Due to demand and availability of materials (principally cocobolo and Gabon ebony), please call for current pricing changes.
